For most families, our $995 affordable cremation package provides everything you need for the final care of your loved one. However, there are some restrictions and a few options you might want to consider. Here are the other charges that may apply to you:
Consumer Protection Fee 48.00
A mandatory administration fee charged by Consumer Protection for each death registered in the Province of British Columbia. This fee will be added to the above package.
BC Funeral Association Fee 5.00
The BC Funeral Association sets professional standards, offers continuing education, lobbies the provincial government, and represents member funeral service providers. This fee covers the service they provide to the funeral profession in BC. This fee will be added to the above package.
Death Certificates27.00
An official document issued by the Department of Vital Statistics typically required as proof of death by banks, government agencies, insurance companies, etc. (If you aren't sure how many to order, start with one. We can always provide you with more later).
Cadence - Executor Assistant and Grief Support175.00
An on-line tool providing a customized plan to settle your loved one's estate. Includes notification of government agencies, closing bank accounts, claiming benefits, protection against identity theft, and much more. Cadence also includes unlimited grief support for your entire family.
On-line Tribute35.00
We will post a tribute on our website with a colour photo and unlimited text. Our tributes are never deleted and friends and family can also post photos, memories, and messages of condolence.
Special Document Requests25.00
When travelling with cremated remains by air or upon entry to a foreign country, you may be asked for special documents from the funeral home regarding the death, cremation and urn. This may include an urn contents letter, Funeral Director Statement of Death, additional original copies of the cremation certificate, or other specialty documents. Before booking travel to a foreign country other than the United States, you should check with the foreign consulate about any such documents they may require for importing cremated remains (Note: There are no special requirements for travelling to the US with cremated remains).

We are able to keep our costs low because our arrangements are completed over the phone. However, if you prefer to meet with one of our Funeral Directors in person either in your home or our office, this additional fee helps offset the cost of travel. Your loved one can be dressed in their favorite outfit for viewing and/or cremation.
Sheltering15.00/day
Our basic package includes sheltering of the deceased for up to 7 days. This fee reflects the ongoing facilities and staffing costs for extended periods of sheltering.
Fingerprint scan/Locks of hair25.00
We will take a digital scan of one of their fingers and upload it to www.eternitystouch.com. From this website you can access a wide assortment of jewelry and other memorial items engraved with the fingerprint. A few items can also hold a few grains of cremated remains inside. Collecting of locks of hair is also included in this fee.
Special Handling of Cremated Remains25.00
An additional fee for splitting cremated remains into multiple portions and/or filling urns or jewelry supplied by others.
DNA Sampling498.00
Receive a purified sample of your loved one's DNA for future testing. See www.securigene.com/video for more details.
Pacemaker Removal 75.00
Pacemakers must be surgically removed prior to cremation.
Cremation for Plus-sized individuals325.00
An additional fee to cover the cost of cremation for those who are over 250 lbs. An oversize cremation tray will be required. See Casket selection page for pricing.
Cremation of Bariatric Decedents525.00
An additional fee to cover the cost of cremation for those who weigh over 400 lbs.
Notify Date and Time of Cremation395.00
We will inform you of the date and time of cremation so you can be thinking of your loved one while the cremation is taking place.
Expedited Cremation395.00
The cremated remains will be ready within 4 business days after the later of when the decedent has been brought into our care and we have received government authorization to proceed with cremation.
Visitation/Viewing450.00
A small gathering (approx. 20 people) may visit with the deceased for 30 minutes. This fee includes washing, dressing, and light cosmetics, if needed. Add $100 for plus-sized individuals.
Witness Cremation Start595.00
A few family members (Maximum 10) can be with your loved one as they are placed in the cremation chamber. A family member can start the cremation process, if desired.

Treatment of the body for the purpose of sanitation, preservation, and restoration. Recommended, but not legally required, for visitations.

We will scatter the cremated remains at one of our local parks.
Shipping Cremated Remains within the BC Lower Mainland (Squamish to Hope)No Charge
If you live within our service area, your loved one's cremated remains will be couriered to you via Express Post.
Personal Delivery of Cremated Remains within our Service Area125.00
One of our staff will deliver your loved one's cremated remains to your home or office. Deliveries scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10 AM to 2 PM, based on availability. Service area includes West Vancouver to Abbotsford only.
Pick-up Cremated Remains or Death Certificates from our Maple Ridge or South Surrey office75.00
The preferred method for delivery is by Express Post (see above). If this does not work for you, we can schedule one of our staff to meet you at our office in Maple Ridge (daytime only) or South Surrey (evenings only) for pick-up of cremated remains or death certificates.

If you live outside our service area, your loved one's cremated remains will be couriered to you via Express Post.
